6 Deaths, 1,195 New Cases Reported Thursday

The state Department of Health reported 1,195 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 229,531. Six new fatalities were reported.

A total of 131 new infections were identified Thursday on the Big Island. The Civil Defense reports 2,298 active cases, and 29 persons hospitalized.

Today, Thursday, community testing is scheduled in at the Hilo Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and in Ka‘ū at the Pāhala Community Center from noon to 2 p.m. and at the Nā‘ãlehu Community Center from 3-5 p.m.

A total of 7,861 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,239 have died.
