3 Coffee With a Cop Events Planned in West Hawai‘i

West Hawai‘i residents will have three opportunities to talk story with members of the Hawai‘i Police Department this month during Coffee With a Cop events.

According to police press release, the popular community events are a way for island residents to get to know their area community policing officers over a cup of coffee. The casual event has no agenda and topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.

Coffee With a Cop events are scheduled for:

  • 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Feb. 11, at Kona Grill House, 81-951 Haleki‘i St., Kealakekua.
  • 8-10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at Kona Mountain Coffee Co., 73-4038 Hulikoa Drive, Kailua-Kona.
  • 8-10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Kona Coffee & Tea, 74-5588 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona.

All social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines will be maintained. Access also will be restricted should the maximum capacity be reached. Tables and chairs will be sanitized after each use.
