Portion of Highway 11 in South Kona Closed Because of Traffic Accident

Hawai‘i County Civil Defense reports that Big Island police have closed Highway 11 in both directions in the vicinity of mile marker 92 in South Kona because of a traffic accident.

The road is not expected to open before 8 p.m. today. There is no detour. Motorists are asked to avoid the area as officers are working on the roadway.

Please drive with caution. Civil Defense thanks the public for its patience.
