Nearly 1K New COVID Cases Reported Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 961 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 95,254. Two new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of 21 new infections were identified on the Big Island. On Tuesday, Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reported 241 active cases, and six persons hospitalized.
The state’s daily case average is now 726, with a test positivity rate of 7.5%.

A total of 5,184 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,074 have died.
