Test Positivity Rate Falls Below 2% For First Time in Months

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 69 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the statewide total to 84,364. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

A total of 12 new infections were identified on the Big Island Monday.

The state’s seven-day average is now 115 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.7%.

A total of 4,751 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 916 have died.
