31 New COVID Cases Reported on Big Island

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 184 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 83,706. One new COVID-related fatality was also reported.

A total of 31 new infections were identified on the Big Island Wednesday. The Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reported 413 active cases, and 10 persons hospitalized.

The state’s seven-day average is now 125 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 2.1%.

A total of 4,682 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 889 have died.
