277 New Cases Statewide
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 277 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 80,128. Seven new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of 65 new infections were identified on the Big Island Sunday.
The state’s two-week average is now 277 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 3.6%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

A total of 4,371 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 808 have died.
