DOH Reports 366 New Cases Friday
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 366 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 79,572. Seven new COVID-related fatalities were reported
A total of 91 new infections were identified on the Big Island Friday.
The state’s two-week average is now 301 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 3.8%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 55,310
Hawai‘i: 10,097
Maui: 9,099
Kaua‘i: 2,255
Moloka‘i: 230
Lana‘i: 139
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,429
A total of 4,333 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 789 have died.
To date, a total of 2,012,454 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 68% of the population fully vaccinated and 76.1% having received at least one shot.
