59 New COVID-19 Cases Reported on Big Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 431 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the statewide total to 75,911. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of 59 new infections were identified on the Big Island Monday. Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reports 1,139 active cases, with 46 persons hospitalized.
The state’s two-week average is now 484 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 5.7%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

Maui: 8,750
Kaua‘i: 2,029

Lana‘i: 139

Out-of-State: 2,344
A total of 4,068 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 714 have died.
To date, a total of 1,964,976 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide, with 66.5% of the population fully vaccinated and 75% who have received at least one dose.
