Tropical Storm Develops in Eastern Pacific
A tropical storm is brewing in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
Tropical storm felicia was churning approximately 655 miles south/southwest of Baja California as of 5 am Wednesday morning, according to a report from the National Hurricane Center. It is moving in a west-northwest direction at close to 15 mph.
Maximum sustained winds have been reported at 50 mph with higher gusts. NHC said tropical storm-force winds currently extend 45 miles outward from the center.
The forecast predicts Felicia could become a hurricane as early as Wednesday night. It is too early for forecasters to say if the storm might impact Hawai´i.
