8 New COVID-19 Cases Reported on Big Island
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 64 new cases of coronavirus statewide Saturday, bringing the overall total to 37,596. Two new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Eight new cases were reported on the Big Island Saturday, with 106 active cases and six people hospitalized.
The state’s two-week average is 41 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.5%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Out-of-State: 1,291
A total of 2,455 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 516 have died.
