Hawai‘i Reports 33 New Cases of COVID

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 33 new cases of coronavirus Monday. The statewide total is now 36,649. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

Three new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Monday. The state’s two-week average is 49 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 0.9%.

DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 26,573
Maui: 3,709
Hawai‘i: 2,978
Kaua‘i: 322
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,209

A total of 2,360 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 505 have died.

To date, a total of 1,569,480 vaccine doses have been administered statewide.
