Big Island Identifies 3 New Cases of COVID Tuesday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 64 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday. The statewide total is now 33,329. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Three new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Tuesday, per DOH statistics.
Most of the active cases on the Big Island remain located in the Kailua-Kona and Hilo areas. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 25,514
Maui: 3,512
Hawai‘i: 2,742
Kaua‘i: 304
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 37
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,108
A total of 2,187 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 488 have died.
To date, a total of 1,344,089 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered statewide.
