Big Island COVID-19 Numbers Down Monday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 61 new cases of coronavirus on Monday. The statewide total is now 33,267. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
No new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Monday, per DOH statistics.
Most of the active cases on the Big Island remain located in the Kailua-Kona and Hilo areas. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 25,464
Maui: 3,508
Hawai‘i: 2,739
Kaua‘i: 303
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 37
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,104
A total of 2,182 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 488 have died.
