DOH Reports 80 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 80 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday. The statewide total is now 32,732. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Two new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Tuesday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 94 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.7%.
Most of the active cases on the Big Island are located in the Kailua-Kona and Hilo areas. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 25,088
Maui: 3,443
Hawai‘i: 2,707
Kaua‘i: 277
Lana‘i: 111
Moloka‘i: 37
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,067
A total of 2,153 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 484 have died.
