DOH Identifies 70 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide Monday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 70 new cases of coronavirus on Monday. The statewide total is now 31,991. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Three new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Monday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 76 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%.
Most of the 94 active cases on the Big Island are located in the Kailua-Kona and Hilo areas. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Hawai‘i: 2,677

Moloka‘i: 37

Out-of-State: 1,036
A total of 2,103 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 478 people have died.
To date, a total of 1,161,471 doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered statewide.
