Oahu, Maui Continue to Lead Hawaii in New COVID Cases
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 64 new cases of coronavirus Tuesday, raising the statewide total to 30,909. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Five new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Tuesday, per DOH statistics. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the state’s website.
The state’s two-week average is 87 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.6%.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 23,836
Maui: 3,148
Hawai‘i: 2,589
Kaua‘i: 199
Lana‘i: 111
Moloka‘i: 34
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 992
A total of 2,059 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 471 people have died.
