DOH Reports 70 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 70 new cases of coronavirus Monday, raising the statewide total to 30,846. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Five new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Monday, per DOH statistics. The DOH is monitoring 127 active Coronavirus cases in Hawai‘i County. There are currently four people hospitalized.

The state’s two-week average is 85 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.6%.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Maui: 3,130
Hawai‘i: 2,584
Kaua‘i: 199
Lana‘i: 111
Moloka‘i: 34
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 991
A total of 2,045 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 471 people have died.
