Hawaii Reports Over 100 New Cases of COVID-19 For Third Straight Day
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 113 new cases of coronavirus Saturday, raising the statewide total to 29,306. Three new COVID-related deaths were also reported.
After several weeks of reporting double-digit cases daily, Saturday marks the third consecutive day the state has registered more than 100 new cases of the virus. The state’s two-week average is 83 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.6%.
Fourteen new cases were identified on the Big Island Saturday, according to DOH statistics.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 22,863
Maui: 2,753
Hawai‘i: 2,432
Kaua‘i: 189
Lana‘i: 110
Moloka‘i: 34
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 925
A total of 1,975 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 462 people have died.
