HPD Renews Request for Help Locating Missing Kona Man

Hawai’i Police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating a 26-year-old Kona man who was reported missing on Feb. 12, 2021.

Joshua Toney was last seen on Feb. 1, 2021, at 10 a.m. leaving his parents’ Kailua-Kona residence on his moped and told his parents he was going to hike from Pololū Valley to Waipi‘o Valley in North Kohala. On Feb. 2, Toney’s parents found his moped parked unattended within the parking area of Pololū lookout.

Toney is described as a Caucasian male, 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with long curly brownish-blond hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a denim jacket, no t-shirt, and black shorts. He has a tattoo on his forearm with the saying, “not all those who wander are lost” with a compass and an anchor.
