Four New COVID-Related Deaths Identified in Hawai‘i

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 50 new cases of coronavirus Wednesday, raising the statewide total to 27,320. Four new COVID-related deaths were also reported.

The state’s two-week average is 51 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.2%.

Two new cases were identified on the Big Island Wednesday, according to county statistics. The state’s virus tracker, which maps cases by district across all islands, can be accessed here.

A total of 1,848 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 435 people have died.
