Big Island police have recovered a variety of stolen items and want to pair them with their owners.

The items were recovered from burglary suspects in Na‘alehu, Discovery Harbour and the Green Sand subdivision in the Ka‘u District. They are believed to stem from burglaries that occurred over the past four months.

Some of the items have been linked to four different victims but others still have not been claimed. Police said some of the burglaries may not have been reported.

The items include two car stereos, five solar panels, three car batteries, a fishing reel and an arc welder.

Persons who may have a connection to the items are asked to call Sgt. Cory Koi or Officer John Smith at 939-2520 with descriptions of missing items.

Police also reminded the public about the importance of marking or engraving property and recording serial numbers to increase the chances of  recovering stolen property.
