Thelma Parker Memorial Public & School Library to Close Temporarily

The Thelma Parker Memorial Public & School Library will close for interior renovation work from July 16 to 19, 2019, and is scheduled to reopen at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20.

The improvements include installation of a new circulation desk and storage areas, and window and screen replacements.

Funding for the improvements has been provided by The Friends of Thelma Parker Memorial Library.

Patrons who have library materials on hold are asked to pick them up by 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.

The book drop will remain open while the renovation work is being completed, but no public access to the library will be available.

During the closure, patrons are encouraged to visit any of the other 11 library branches on Hawai‘i Island or utilize HSPLS’s online resources available 24/7 via online.

The Thelma Parker Memorial Public & School Library is located at 67-1209 Māmalahoa Highway.
