No Tsunami Danger From Latest Mexico Quake
Mexico has been hit by another strong earthquake, a magnitude 6.0 tremor that struck near the border of Guerrero and Oaxaca states.
Like the 7.4 quake that hit closer to Acapulco on March 20, no tsunami was created.
The US Geological Survey reported that today’s earthquake, which occurred at 7:36 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time, had an initial magnitude of 6.3 but was later downgraded. The shaker was apparently an aftershock of the March 20 quake which caused at least two deaths and damaged thousands of homes.
