Four Seasons’ Hualalai Golf Course Ranked 2nd in World

Hawai‘i Island is home to one of the world’s greatest golf courses, according to a new listing of luxury courses created by Golfscape.com.

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai placed No. 2 in the world among a listing of 18 World’s Greatest Golf Courses spanning from the slopes of the Himalayas to the beaches of Hawai‘i.

The course—Nicklaus’ first Hawai‘i design—is a par-72 layout that weaves through a challenging landscape of volcanic terrain set amid dramatic ocean views and shoreline vistas. Players can tee off from the 7th hole—the highest point of the course—and play downward towards the ocean through a collapsed lava tube. The course also features a nine-acre driving range with a chipping and short game practice area, two sand bunkers and a putting green.

Since 1997, the Hualalai Golf Club has hosted the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai featuring tournament champions for the past two seasons and senior major championship winners from the past five years.
