Swell Summary
Outlook through Sunday August 05: An uptick of trade winds is expected bring an increase in wind swell Tuesday through Thursday along east facing shores. Small southeast and south swells will maintain small background surf along south facing shores through next week. Otherwise, no significant swells are expected.
Surf heights are forecast heights of the face, or front, of waves. The surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average height of the one third largest waves, at the locations of the largest breakers. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near any surf zone.
North East

Surf: Waist to chest high ESE medium period swell.
Conditions: Light sideshore texture in the morning with SSE winds 5-10mph. Sideshore texture/chop conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting SE 10-15mph.
North West

Surf: Ankle to knee high SW ground swell.
Conditions: Fairly clean in the early morning with S winds 5-10mph. Sideshore texture/chop conditions move in during the morning hours with the winds shifting SW 5-10mph.
West

Surf: Ankle to knee high SW ground swell for the morning going more W during the day.
Conditions: Semi glassy in the morning with SE winds 5-10mph. Bumpy/semi bumpy conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting to the W.
South East

Surf: Waist to chest high ESE medium period swell with occasional shoulder high sets.
Conditions: Light sideshore texture in the morning with NNE winds 5-10mph. Sideshore texture/chop conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting to the ENE.
