The National Weather Service’s Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Ewa Beach released a statement at  5:14 a.m. HST on Sunday, Nov 19, 2017, regarding at 6.9 magnitude earthquake that has occurred near the Loyalty Islands.

Based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawai‘i.
