There have been multiple reports of a vandal using the tag “Puna” marking different buildings throughout Hilo.
Last week, the “Puna” vandal tagged one of the murals that was painted by the Temple Children.

The Temple Children is a local organization that completed six large-scale Hawai‘i Island-themed murals throughout downtown Hilo last year to help strengthen communities, promote social and environmental innovation and incite positive global change.
Anyone with information on this individual tagging buildings should call the Hilo Police Department non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
