State Sen. Lorraine Inouye (Dist. 4 – Hilo, Hāmākua, Kohala, Waimea, Waikoloa, Kona) and the Department of Land and Natural Resources are sponsoring an informational meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kohala Village Hub–Barn in Hawi for the public to learn more about the North Kohala Agricultural Water Study.

This meeting will allow community members to meet the project team and hear more about the plan for researching and gathering information on agricultural water users, demands and agricultural water system conditions.

Representatives of the DLNR Engineering Division and its consultants, Waimea Water Services LLC, are conducting the study.

Funds for the study were appropriated by the Hawai‘i State Legislature with the support of Sen. Inouye.
