Phillip Leon Kenyon, 60, of Hawi, Hawaiʻi, was born in Spokane, Washington on Oct. 4, 1956, and passed away on March 26, 2017 in Hawi, Hawaiʻi. Phillip worked as a Registered Nurse.

He is survived by spouse Roland Boyd; brothers Robert (Donna) Kenyon of Spokane, Washington; Scott (Trish) Kenyon of Spokane, Washington; Lonnie (Marilyn) Kenyon of Olympia, Washington; sisters Lucy (Ernie) Patty of Ellensburg, Washington; Kitty (Ken) Kitt of Spokane, Washington; and Mary Lou (Ken) Smet of Hilo, Hawaiʻi.

Hilario Jose Oandasan Sadumiano, 76, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi, was born in Paoay, Ilocos Norte Philippines on Oct. 21, 1940, and passed away on March 25, 2017 in Honolulu. Hilario did ground maintenance and janitorial work for the Kona Surf Resort and Keauhou Beach Hotel, United Laundry as a sorter, and Ganir & Co. commercial cleaning.

Kerston Phillip “KUTING” Barro, 36, of Kawaihae passed away on March 24, 2017. Born in Pahala, Hawai’i, he always had a great passion for singing, which he also starred in Hawai’i Stars and Hawaiian Idol. When he was not singing, he was an Ophthalmic Technician for Dr. Eugene Ng, CNA at North Hawai’i Community Hospital and a Private Care Taker.

Celebration of life will be held on, Saturday April 8, 2017 at 570 Kinoole Street at Ballard Family Mortuary-Hilo. Therezinha Dison
August 17, 1922 – March 23, 2017

Therezinha Dison, 94, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi, was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil on Aug. 17, 1922, and passed away on March 23, 2017 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi.

Therezinha worked in maintenance for United Airlines. She also worked as a volunteer at the St. Anthony’s Dining Room, the Food Basket, the Food Bank in California, and Hospice of Kona Thrift Store
.
She is survived by sons Robert “Bob” (Cynthia) Dixson of Kailua-Kona; Michael Thomas of San Jose, California; daughter Lorraine Dison of Sacramento, California; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life is planned on April 4, 2017 at 4 p.m. to be held at the Regency of Kailua-Kona, 75-181 Hualalai Road.

Ruth Hada, 79, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Formerly of Honolulu. Ruth was born in Blumenthal, Germany. Private Services.

She is survived by daughters Corinne (Apirak) Sillapachai of Honolulu, HI, Celeste Hada of Hilo, HI, Cynthia “Cindy” (Michael) Quinajon of Hilo, HI, and Cherryl (Kanani) Pratt of Honolulu, HI; brothers Robert (Alice) Amey of Bechtelsville, PA, and Howard (Nancy) Amey of Naples, FL. Ruth is also survived by daughter-in-law Alexandra “Lexi” Hada of Honolulu, HI along with 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Eric Walla Grove, 61, of Kīhei, passed away on March 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Jan. 6, 1956 in Fillmore, California.

Eric was a Merchant Marine for the American Marine Corps. He was also a tiler and worked as an independent contractor.
He is survived by his children, Preston (Tricia) Grove, Kendall (Anna) Grove, and Ariel Moniz; grandchildren, Mikah, Toa, Khloe, Emma, Te’ata, Taimane, Skyla, Te’lia, Taupou, Quincee, and Ares; brothers, Tim Grove, Danny Grove, and John Grove Jr.; sisters, Camille Yanez, and Kerry Grove Marrufo.

Eric was predeceased by his parents, John and Naomi Grove.

Stanley Shigeru “Fuji” Fujimoto Jr., 49, of Kahului, Maui, passed away on March 22, 2017, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 26, 1967, in Wailuku, Maui.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Norman’s Mortuary; service will begin at 11:30 a.m.; burial will follow, 2 p.m., at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery, main section.

Stanley was the only son of Stanley Sr. and Carmen G. Fujimoto. He attended Christ the King School, Lihikai Elementary and H. P. Baldwin High School and retired as Head Custodian for Baldwin High School.

He is survived by his sister, Cindi (Guy) Funes; nieces, Krista-Arlene (Allen) Palakiko, Jessica Vazquez-Fujimoto; grandnieces, Krislen Fujimoto-Palakiko, Alia Palakiko; grandnephew, Keenan Palakiko; and his caregivers, Karen Nobriga, Amy Fujimoto and Gerald & San Fujimoto.

Stanley was passionate about bowling. He was on the Baldwin High School Bowling team during his high school years and at the same time began coaching for the Aloha Lanes Junior Bowlers. After high school he went on to coach the Baldwin High School bowling team. He loved Hawaiian music, singing and sharing stories with his nieces and nephews. He truly loved his family and friends and was ready to help in any way he could.

Camilla Rose Lanse, 65, of Makawao, Maui passed away on March 21, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on Sept. 7, 1951 in Lāna‘i City.
She worked as a Housekeeper Clerk for Royal Lahaina Resort for 46 years.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Ballard Family Mortuary Kahului; with service to begin at 6 p.m. Second day visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.; burial to follow at Maui Memorial Park in Wailuku at 2 p.m.

Camilla is survived by her husband of 27 years, Stephen I. Lanse; daughter, Brilynn S. Lanse; grandchildren, Rylee Lanse-Saltiban and Carlee rose Lanse-Saltiban; sisters, Norma Lista (Jimmy), Francine Williams (Norman), Leilani Balberdi {Clinton Kealoha), Cynthia Cuaresma, Carol Balberdi-Lopez, Deanna Kaiue (Mark), Evelyn Balberdi (John Hashimoto, and brothers Edward Agpaoa (Joy), Francisco Balberdi,Jr (Jackie), George Balberdi (Tremaine), Benjamin Balberdi, Fred Balberdi (Louise), Nelson Balberdi (Alena). Antonio “Tony” Bagio

Antonio “Tony” Bagio
September 21, 1925 – March 21, 2017

Antonio “Tony” Bagio, 91, of Kahului, Maui, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family and friends on March 21, 2017. He was born on Sept. 21, 1925, in Honokalani, Hāna, Maui.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Christ the King Catholic Church; prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Services will also be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at St. Mary Church in Hāna; mass will begin at 11 a.m.; burial to follow at Honokalani Cemetery.

Tony was a retired Leaderman Stevedore at Young Brothers, Ltd. He loved the ocean, fishing and diving. He also bowled for the Hawaiian League and was a retired usher at Christ the King Church. He loved being with his ‘ohana and going home to Hāna. He loved his plants and working with his hands.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Fujikawa, Beatrice Stipanovich, Hazel Wong, hanai brothers, Francis Lono, George Lono; hanai sisters, Maizie Manaois, Helena Lono; and grandchildren, Daphne Kawaiaea, and Kaliko Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Martin Bagio; son, Anthony Hanakahi (Jeni) Bagio; daughters, Wallette (Milton Jr.) Kawaiaea, Ivy Jean (Rob) Sanchez, Pauline (Kappy) Kalama; hanai brothers, Jerry Lono, Steven “Hilo” Lono, Piilani Lono, Kamehameha Lono, John Lono; hanai sisters, Kaihu Hall, Millie Gorbea, Carol Oliveira, Mokihana Kai, Ethel Gomes; grandchildren, Tiare Kapika Sanchez, Daryl Kawaiaea, Derek Kawaiaea, Kapena Kalama, Toni Marie Kalama, Bobbi-Lin Kalama, James and Joshua Thomas; and great grandchildren, Dylan, Lilinoe, Ariana and Dalton Kawaiaea, Kumaka Kawaiaea and Marianne Kawaiaea, Krystian Navarro-Sanchez, Lilia-Ann Sanchez, and Khoen Sanchez.
