Gov. Ige Attends Policy Conference

Gov. David Ige is in Washington State for a two-day policy conference sponsored by the Democratic Governors Association.

The governor will address the DGA and attend two panel discussions. The first, “The Path Forward: A 21st Century Infrastructure for the Economy of the Future,” features panelists representing innovative corporations such as Parsons, a technology-driven engineering firm and Aecom, a global company that develops innovative solutions to complex challenges.

The second panel discussion, “Technological Innovations in Infrastructure: Shaping Life in the 21st Century,” will feature Verizon and Amazon.

“This is an opportunity to learn about the latest, most innovative ideas on infrastructure and technology as we work to improve communities and the quality of life across the state of Hawai‘i,” said Gov. Ige.

No state funds are being used for this trip.

The governor will return to Hawai‘i on Saturday, March 25.

Lt. Gov. Shan Tsutsui will serve as acting governor while Gov. Ige is out of town.
