The all-male dance company Compagnie Hervé Koubi will present “What the Day Owes to the Night” at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m.

Choreographer Hervé Koubi grew up in France and graduated from the world-renowned Rosella Hightower School of Dance in Cannes.

Koubi gained professional experience as a dancer with the Opera de Marseille.

Since then, he has developed numerous contemporary dance projects in collaboration with various artists, writers, choreographers and musicians from around the world.

“What the Day Owes to the Night,” is a 12-man mix of hip-hop, Brazilian martial arts, street performance and contemporary dance inspired by Koubi’s own personal journey and discovery of his Algerian heritage.

Reserved seating presale tickets are $30 for general admission, $25 for discounted and $15 for UH Hilo/Hawai‘i Community College students (with a valid student
ID) and children up to age 17. Tickets at the door are $35, $30 and $20, respectively.
