Storm Large to Debut at Kahilu Theatre

Kahilu Theatre will present vocal superstar Storm Large along with her band Le Bonheur on Saturday, March 11 at 7 p.m.

Storm Large is a musician, actress, playwright and author who caught the spotlight in 2006 as a finalist on the CBS show Rock Star. She is referred to as the “queen of dark cabaret.”

Storm spent the 90s singing in clubs throughout San Francisco, and gained a cult following in Portland that catapulted her to the international stage.

Le Bonheur (French for “The Happiness”) is described as a blend of various genres and musical traditions including songs born of French theatrical chanson, jazz standard, heavy metal, smokehouse lounge and a handful of originals.

Storm debuted as the guest vocalist for the band Pink Martini in April 2011, singing four sold-out concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC. She continues to tour nationally and internationally with the band, and is featured on their album Get Happy.

Due to adult language and content, the upcoming concert is appropriate for ages 17 and up.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the Kahilu Theatre bar.

Solo Exhibits 2017 will be open and on display in the Kahilu Gallery featuring works by Eli Baxter, Margaret Shields and Jean René Leblanc.
