Mentor Movie Night at Keauhou Shopping Center
The Keauhou Shopping Center is sponsoring Boys to Men Hawai‘i’s ‘Be the Man’ mentor recruitment campaign tonight to recruit mentors for programs throughout West Hawai‘i.
As a sponsor, the Keauhou Shopping Center will host the Boys to Men Hawai‘i- Mentor Movie Night tonight Monday, Dec. 19 at 5 p.m.
Tropics Tap House will be providing pupu’s for mentors and boys in the program followed by a screening of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” at Regal Cinema at 7 p.m.
This event is an invitation for men in the community to learn more about Boys to Men Hawai‘i and how they can make a powerful difference in as little as one hour a month.
Boys to Men Hawai‘i is a local nonprofit dedicated to getting healthy male role models in the lives of the boys in the community.
Boys to Men Hawai‘i says, “We know that the vast majority of crime in our neighborhoods and problems in our schools come from a small group of mostly boys who didn’t have a good man to look up to. Upwards of 80% of the men in prison grew up without a father.”
Boys to Men Hawai‘i recruits men in the community to show up for these boys so that they can find another way.
