The Kona Coffee Cultural Festival welcomes Japan’s award-winning pop singer-songwriter Hiromitsu Kagawa, who will perform live with his band on Wednesday, Nov. 9, starting at 6 p.m. at the Makaeo County Pavilion (Old Airport Park Pavilion).

This Hiroshima native rose to fame as the champion of a popular singing competition, Uta-O (King of Singers), similar to the ever-popular American Idol.

Since winning the competition, Kagawa’s singing career has ignited with more than 150 performances, dazzling audiences throughout Japan.
This musical evening at the Makaeo County Pavilion transcends language and is sure to be appreciated by all.
And what better way to share and value different cultures than by tasting the regional favorite—Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki. This savory Japanese pancake dish will be specially prepared by festival friends visiting from Hatsukaichi (located in the prefecture of Hiroshima), Japan.
