The event will be an opportunity to educate the community on the Blitz Build project that is coming in September 2017, during which Habitat will build 10 new homes in 10 days in the La‘i ‘Opua neighborhood.

“We are so grateful that Daylight Mind has partnered with us to hold a great event that gives us a platform to educate people in the West Hawai‘i community about our Blitz Build,” said Executive Director Patrick Hurney. “It’s always great when a local business is so willing and excited to collaborate with us.”

This event is an opportunity for the community to come out and learn about coffee during Kona’s 46th Annual Coffee Festival, while also supporting Habitat for Humanity West Hawai‘i.

“Shelter is one of the essential components to survival, yet in our own backyard, there are families who lack acceptable, affordable housing,” said Shawn Steiman, owner of Daylight Mind. “Daylight Mind cannot brew idly by when we can so easily help Habitat for Humanity create a better community in Hawai‘i.  Working with them is an honor and a pleasure.”

Tickets for this event can be purchased by visiting Habitat for Humanity West Hawai‘i’s website. All proceeds from the event tickets go towards the Home Builders Program, which helps Habitat West Hawai‘i in its mission to provide everyone in West Hawai‘i with a safe, decent and affordable place to live.
