Gert is survived by his sons, Gary (Penny) Kiep, Brian Kiep; daughter, Ingrid (Cameron) Little; grandchildren, David Little, Cameron Little, Amber Kiep, Brittany Kiep, Austin Kiep, Emily Kiep; great grandchildren, Brian Little, Hannah Little, Ethan Little, Brittany Little; his brother, Eti Kiep and best friend of 70 years, Kurt Kosmider. Gert is predeceased by his parents, Kurt and Herta Kiep; brother, Eckart Kiep and sister, Helga Kiep. Visitation will be held at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 5:00pm with service at 6pm.
Olimpia Espanola Casumpang

Olimpia Espanola Casumpang, 88 of Kahului, passed away on August 22, 2016, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on October 10, 1927 in the Philippines.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016, at Norman’s Mortuary; service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Norman’s Mortuary; prayer service will begin at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 12:00 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park Cemetery in Haiku.
Olimpia was a retired Housekeeper at Royal Lahaina Resort. She is survived by her daughters, Victoria C. Divina, Veronica C. (Tito) Vargas; son, Nicanor E. (Nenita) Casumpang Jr.; grandchildren, Nikko C. Casumpang, Janis C. Casumpang, Nicanor C. Casumpang III, Bong Bong Divina, Katrina Ugot, Karen Divina; and 10 great grandchildren.

Rose Genevieve Kakalia
January 30, 1933 – August 15, 2016
Rose Genevieve Kakalia, 83 of Pukalani, passed away on August 15, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 30, 1933 in Paia, Maui.
Family visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016, at St. Joseph Church in Makawao; public visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m. and burial will follow at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery at 1 p.m.
Rose is a veteran of the United States Army.
She is survived by her husband, David Gordon Kakalia; son, David Gordon Kakalia Jr.; daughters, Gordean K. Kakalia, and Roselee (Apollo) Kepo’o; sister, Ethel Soon; 12 grandchildren, Wadell L. Davis, Alana K.P. (Francisco) Matesanz, Victoria M. Davis, Thomas (Lele) Kepo’o, Andrew Kepo’o, Nicole Kepo’o, Emma Kepo’o, Shantey Kakalia, Vanna (Darrell) Duarte, Tia Kakalia, Kanoelani Kakalia Dodd, and Kaleikaumaka Kakalia Dodd; 7 great-grandchildren, Sienna Matesanz, Lokene Duarte, Elena Duarte, Kainoa Coppa, Akela Kakalia, Blade Kakalia-Ching, and Ocean Kakalia-Ching.
The family wishes to acknowledge all the help they are receiving from her extended family near and far that are helping to make her funeral happen. They would also like to express their gratitude for the support and care received from Islands Hospice.

Francis Kahokumaka Kanoeau, 75, of Ocean View, Hawaii, was born in Hilo, Hawaii on March 9, 1941, and passed away on August 8, 2016. Francis worked as a commercial truck driver.
He is survived by sons Francis Kanoeau Jr. of Ocean View; Norman (Tammy) Kanoeau of Ocean View; Brian Kanoeau of Captain Cook; daughter Cindy (Dustin Kay-Malina) Kanoeau of Captain Cook; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Kenneth Walter Kirchmeyer
August 10, 1926 – August 4, 2016
Kenneth Walter Kirchmeyer, 89, of Kula, passed away on August 4, 2016 at Hale Makua Kahului. He was born on August 10, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Maui Veteran’s Cemetery, Aloha Attire Requested, burial will follow.
Ken, a Veteran of the US Navy, served active duty in WWII. He was the principle for KANPAK Ltd. & Kirchmeyer Development Corp.
He is survived by his daughters, Kim Alene (Robert) Fuller, Marjorie Alice Kirchmeyer, Dawn Renee Mallory, and Robin (Anthony) Ventura; 9 grandchildren, Kristine Leone Kirchmeyer, Margaret Mary Kirchmeyer, Allyson Marie Taylor, Peter Charles Kirchmeyer, James Kenneth Kirchmeyer, Danielle Mellisa Fuller, Christopher Robert Fuller, Dennis A. Ventura, and Brian K. Ventura; and 9 great-grandchildren: Sarah Anne Kirchmeyer, Kristopher Alan Kirchmeyer, Nathan Allen Taylor, Abigail Analise Taylor, David Glen Taylor, Nash Alexandra Ventura, Thor Anthony Ventura, Mackenzie Elizabeth Ventura, Ivan Keola Ventura.
Kenneth was predeceased by his son, Glen Allen Kirchmeyer.

Andrew R. Villanueva
June 28, 1936 – July 23, 2016
Andrew “Andy” R. Villanueva Sr., 80 of Kahului, Maui passed away on July 23, 2016 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on June 28, 1936 in Haiku, Maui.
He retired from being a Harvester Driver for Maui Land and Pineapple and later retired from Roberts Hawaii as a School Bus Driver. His greatest joy was spending time with his precious grandchildren Daniel, Kayla and Shayla and his passion for Fishing and Bowling with the Old Timers League.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 14, 2016 from 1pm to 6pm at Paukukalo Hawaiian Homes Community Center (655 Kaumualii Dr., Wailuku).
Andrew survived by sons, Lester Macadangdang, Andrew (Lovey) Villanueva Jr.; daughters, Marina Wallace, Brandee Villanueva; brothers, Catalino (Sheila) Villanueva Jr., Roberto Villanueva, Alfredo Villanueva; sisters, Clara DeStefano, Juanita Kuini Hokoana, Catalina “Sasa” Ewaliko, Esmeralda “Kella” Tejeda-Figueroa; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Collins Lee “Buster” Faifai, 54, of Honoka’a HI, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Hilo Medical Center. Collins was born on November 12, 1961 in Honolulu, HI. He worked as a Chef at Koele Lodge in Lana’i and was a Cook at Hilton Waikoloa Village. Celebration of Life will be held at Samuel M. Spencer Beach Park (62-3461 Kawaihae Road, Waimea, HI 96743) on Saturday, August 13, 2016. Celebration starts at 12:00pm. He is survived by his sisters; Melvina (Chris) Rodrigues of Honoka’a, HI and Leihua (Charlie Housington) Lopez of Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews.
