DWS to Host Hearing on Power Cost Charge
The Department of Water Supply Water Board will conduct a public hearing in West Hawai’i on the consideration of adopting a new cost of Power Adjustment Clause.
Currently, the Power Cost Charge is $1.81 per thousand gallons. That rate could decrease by eleven cents to $1.70 under the new clause.
The rate change would go into effect the first day of the month after it is established by the board.
Members of the public are invited to the meeting at the West Hawai’i Civic Center, Building G on Tuesday, May 24 at 9:45 a.m.
Written statements can be submitted in writing to the Chairperson of the Water Board of the County on or before the date of the hearing. Mail should be sent to Chairperson in care of the Department of Water Supply, 345 Kekuanao’a Street, Hilo, Hawai’i 96720. Those interested in submitting in person may also do so.
