HTLA Moves to New Office

The Hawai’i Lodging & Tourism Association will soon be moving offices.

HLTA is a statewide, nonprofit trade organization of lodging properties, lodging owners, management firms, suppliers, and related firms and individuals which provides advocacy and education for the hospitality industry.

Organization leaders say the offices will remain within the Waikiki Business Plaza, but into a different suite.

“It’s a long-overdue improvement that reflects the growth of the HLTA, particularly in the degree of activity among our members and staff,” said Mufi Hannemann, president and Chief Executive Officer of the trade organization.

Space to accommodate HLTA’s board of directors for meetings, as well as hosting neighbor island representatives, planning statewide events, and general business activities were among Hannemann’s reasons for the large space.

“The larger offices, which include a conference room, should prove to be a welcome benefit for our diverse operations,” Hannemann said.

HLTA today includes 169 lodging properties representing 50,000 rooms and more than 500 members in other membership categories—representing the state’s leading industry.
