A new Vehicle Registration & Licensing office recently opened in Waimea.

The expanded service, created by the County of Hawai’i Department of Finance, is located at the former Kamuela Deli site within the Waimea Center.

Prior to the recent movement of the location, the office was run through a counter at the Waimea Police Station.

Now located along Mamalahoa Highway, the Vehicle Registration & Licensing office will provide expanded services, including drivers licensing, drivers license testing, and motor vehicle registration.

The office is open from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m., with written exam hours between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

With the opening of a North Hawai’i office, the Finance Department expects that lines and service times at other locations will be reduced.

Vehicle registration is also available online and through the mail.
