Between Nov. 6 and Nov. 9, Niall de Búrca will make his return to Hawai’i as he headlines the 2015 Hawai’i State Public Library System Fall Children’s and Teens Programs at three Big Island libraries.

The award-winning, internationally-renowned storyteller from Ireland will present “Tales of the Irish.” Búrca was featured as an international storyteller at the prestigious National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tenn. in 2009.

Búrca last performed in Hawai’i in 2011 as a featured artist of the annual HSPLS Children’s Summer Reading Program. During that round of performances, he visited 14 public libraries across the state.

“His highly infectious enthusiasm for life, storytelling and children was evident,” said Denise Stromberg, Kailua-Kona Public Library Children’s Librarian. “He was completely delightful for all ages.  We all laughed out loud from the oldest patron to the youngest listener.”
