PKP Joins with Non-Profit to Provide Holiday Cheer
November will kick off the spirit of giving at the Prince Kuhio Plaza as it teams up with Keiki O Ka ‘Āina Family Learning Centers to provide support for local families.
Keiki O Ka ‘Āina is a non-profit that provides educational needs for families in Hawai’i, along with culturally competent education and family strengthening programs.
Merchants at PKP will collect over 140 needed items throughout the month, with the hope of providing over 30 families a special Christmas morning.
Items collected will be presented to Keiki O Ka ‘Āina on Saturday, Dec. 5 as part of Laulima Giving Day.
“Prince Kuhio Plaza is always looking for ways to be involved in the community,” says Daniel Kea, general manager of PKP. “The holiday season presents many opportunities to give back to local families in need. This is just one of them.”
Members of the public interested in donating can bring unused household items, toys, clothing, or toiletries to the plaza during the Laulima Giving Day event.
