Hawaiian Airlines Creates New Onboard Safety Video
Hawaiian Airlines will feature popular island destinations in its new in-flight safety video. Guests aboard all commercial Hawaiian flights will view the new safety video, compiled with destinations in mind.
Over 20 Hawaiian crew members and their families are featured in the four minute film, which takes viewers on a Hawai’i journey before even taking off. From Umauma Falls on the Big Island to Yokohama Beach on Oahu, viewers aboard a Hawai’i journey as the safety video prepares guests for takeoff.
“Safety is paramount at Hawaiian Airlines, and we are pleased to share with our guests a more creative and informative in-flight video as they journey to their favorite island destination,” aid Alisa Onishi, director – brand management and development for Hawaiian Airlines. “Casting our pilots and flight attendants allowed for us to deliver our safety message while capturing each employee in their element, doing what they love, sharing their personal stories and favorite places with our guests.”
Radasha Ho’ohuli, a Hawaiian Airlines flight attendant says that guests asking about favorite places to visit is something she loves. “I love when guests ask me where my favorite places to go are because I know they’re really looking for a unique and memorable experience.”
“Most of us (flight attendants) grew up with this amazing landscape as our playground,” said Valeria Akiona. “It’s instilled in us to not only malama ‘aina (take care and nurture the land), but also enjoy it with our friends, family and guests.
“I want people to watch and listen to the safety instruction, but I also really hope when they watch it, they say, ‘Hey, where is that? I’d love to go there,’ knowing that they absolutely can make that a part of their trip.”
The new video will play on all of the in-flight entertainment systems.
