Turtle Talk with Kahalu’u Bay Education Center

Kahalu’u Bay Education Center’s next Turtle Talk will be held on Saturday, June 20.

The event, led by turtle biologist Rachel Silverman, will begin at 11:30 a.m. and last until 12:30 p.m.

Silverman will “talk story” with participants about different turtle types that are found in Hawai’i, why turtles are important to the ecosystem in Hawai’i, threats that turtles in Hawai’i face, and how individuals can help protect the turtles.

Interested participants should check in at the Kahalu’u Bay Education Center’s mobile education unit at Kahalu’u Beach Park.

Attendees are invited to make a $10 donation to support education and conservation programs at Kahalu’u Bay. Everyone who attends will receive a free informational turtle card.
