Mokulele to Honor Kamehameha Day with Leis

Passengers aboard Mokulele Airlines flight will receive leis on June 11, in celebration of Kamehameha Day.

“Mokulele was founded in 1994 by a native Hawaiian, Rebecca “Kawehi” Inaba with the goal to share the beauty of the islands with passengers,” said Ron Hansen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mokulele Airlines, “Our mission to honor that passion has only magnified.”

The company, who operated over 120 flight from a total of nine airports say the first 500 passengers will receive leis. Mokulele operates out of Kona and Waimea airports on the Big Island.

“We feel our mission to make it easy for kama’aina & visitors to experience the beauty the islands and King Kamehameha’s mission to unite the people of the Hawaiian Islands are closely aligned” said Hansen. “Mokulele Airlines is a family owned and operated business, and we believe strongly in treating our passengers like family so we wanted to do something special to commemorate this important holiday and share Aloha.”
