A Small Craft Advisory is posted for the ʻAlenuihāhā channel as well as Big Island leeward and southeast waters through 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. East winds up to 25 knots are forecasted along with rough seas of 7 to 11 feet. Inexperienced mariners should avoid navigating in these conditions.

Leeward spots will get lots of morning sunshine then clouds will build in the afternoon along with some isolated showers. Some leeward haze is expected in the afternoon. Windward spots are forecasted to get partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers. Winds are expected out of the northeast from 15 to 25 mph. High temperatures from 81° to 86°.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight and windward showers are likely. Partly cloudy for leeward spots with isolated showers and clearing as the night goes on. Trade winds are forecasted from 15 to 20 mph. Low temperatures from 68° to 73° are expected.
Looking Ahead
Breezy trade winds are forecasted to pick up again on Monday and Tuesday. Conditions should be stable with clouds and showers favoring windward and mauka areas.
