Kona Brewing to Expand ‘Liquid Aloha’ to Canada
Kona Brewing Company has announced expansion of its “Liquid Aloha”.
Canadians will soon have the unique opportunity to sip on island brews and re-experience their favorite aloha moments as the company plans to expand throughout British Columbia beginning in late November.
On Nov. 21-22, several of Kona Brewing Company’s selections will make their first appearance in the country at the Hopscotch Whisky Beer and Spirits Festival at The Grand Tasting Hall in Vancouver.
Beginning Dec. 1, the brews will be available in Alberta. The company plans for drafts to be available in both provinces starting in early January.
Beerthirst, a partner of Kona Brewing Company, will aid with distribution, marking the first time Kona Brewing Company will have both an on and off-premise distribution in Canada.
“For more than a decade, Kona has been bringing its Hawiian Liquid Aloha to thirsty fans across the mainland,” Aaron Marion, Kona Brewing Company brand manager said. “Our pubs in Kona and Oahu attract nearly one million visitors a year, and Hawai’i is a top destination for Canadian travelers who have long been asking when we’ll bring Liquid Aloha to their door. We’re stoked to help our new ohana in the north relive their island memories by enjoying their favorite Kona brew back at home.”
Kona Brewing Company brews are available in 40 states throughout the country and in 16 countries world-wide. The Canadian market will get its first taste with the breweries’ most beloved tastes, Big Wave Golden Ale, Fire Rock Pale Ale, and the newest release to the lineup, Castaway IPA.
