The Department of Water Supply is alerting customers of a possible change in water service in areas surrounding the Makalapua Center due to a fire hydrant flow test.

Scheduled to take place on, Wednesday, Oct. 12 between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., the test may cause customers in the area to experience slight discoloration and turbid water for several hours.

Customers in the affected area are advised to refrain from washing clothes during the test and the immediate hours after. They are also urged to prepare to meet their drinking water needs until the supply of water returns to normal.

The affected areas include  Makalapua Center (K-Mart, Regal Movie Theater, Macy’s), and consumers from Makala Boulevard, Kuakini Highway, Kaiwi St., Luhia St., Loloku St., and any side roads and lanes in that area.
