4th of July Fireworks At Waikoloa Beach Resort

Waikoloa Beach Resort invites the community to celebrate “the pursuit of happiness, and their freedom to have fun,” this 4th of July with 10 free mini-concerts on two stages, carnival food and games, a Rubber Duckie Race and the US Air Force Band of the Pacific, said a resort release.

Capping off the day will be a fireworks show over Waikoloa Bowl.

Continuous family entertainment starts at 11 a.m. with live music at Kings’ Shops, followed by Merriman’s Market Café Watermelon Eating contest and the Rubber Duckie Race to benefit United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii at 3 p.m. To adopt a duck, call Kings’ Shops office at 886-8811.

Meanwhile, there will be free cotton candy and popcorn from 1-5 p.m., balloon sculpting, a photo booth ($1), Zoo Choo Train rides ($2) and carnival games (50 cents) for keiki in support of UCPAH.

Gates open for the fireworks show at 5 p.m. with performances by the Michael Strand Band and the US Air Force band prior to the show. Admission is free. Beach mats or chairs are welcome for open lawn seating (smoking, coolers and alcoholic beverages are not permitted).
