Special Olympics West Hawaiʻi to host golf tournament fundraiser
Register for a golf tournament benefiting Special Olympics West Hawaiʻi by Thursday, August 27.
A golf tournament will benefit the Special Olympics West Hawaiʻi at the Mauna Lani North Golf Course this Saturday.
The golf tournament will feature a four-person shotgun format with registration beginning at 7 a.m. and tournament play starting at 8 a.m. Participants will enjoy a light continental breakfast, a round of golf, lunch, opportunities for mulligans, and contests with prizes.
Registration is $250 per person. Individual golfers are welcome, and players without a full foursome will be paired with other participants.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Special Olympics West Hawaiʻi and help provide year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
The registration deadline is Thursday, Aug. 27. Businesses and community members are also invited to support the event through sponsorships.
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy.
